I enjoyed playing bridge with Sally and her sister, Betty, on a number of occasions. Sally was a “spunky” lady who enjoyed laughter and friends. I give thanks for her graciousness and kindness that she expressed to me. Prayers ascend for her family as they remember and give thanks for Sally!

Sally taught me that complaining was an exercise in futility, that enjoying the company at the card table trumped winning, that daughters are worth more than silver and gold
and to count your blessings-being acquainted with Sally was one of mine.

Our hearts sincerely share your loss. I have been gone from Minster for almost 40 years but your Mom and I were in touch every month the whole time. The best 4 years of my life were sitting at Sally’s kitchen table getting my butt kicked by her at cards and board games. Sally and Steve, my son, even played Jeopardy on a hand held game. Glad to see on Facebook Greg is still quiet and Jeff has as much cat hair on his clothes as I do on mine. I do not want to lose touch with all of you my phone number is 419-819-0671.

Sally was a favorite aunt of mine, if she was ever sad or downhearted, she never showed it to me. Always a hearty laugh and smile, plus she beat me ALMOST every time at “Words With Friends”, I wondered where she got some of those words. She will be busy in heaven with another whole new vocabulary. She will be missed. Hugs to my cousins, Sherry, Jeff and Greg.

I was lucky enough to have Mrs. Meckstroth as my 4th grade teacher. I was in her very first class at Minster. She was my all time favorite teacher. I was recently asked why she was my favorite and I replied, She treated us like we were her age and she acted like she was ours. I loved her very much, My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

We car pooled on occasion when attending classes at the branch campus in Celina, Ohio. I admired her that she returned to college after some delay from high school. She always had some fun stories to share. My prayers to the family.
