Jeffrey L. Fyock age 68,
Of New Bremen, formerly of Galion, died on Monday, July 31, 2023 at 12:48 A.M. at the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton following a sudden illness. He was born on March 12, 1955 in Kittanning, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Howard D. and Doloris A. (Aharrah) Fyock. On September 14, 1974 he married Christine L. McClintock and she survives in New Bremen, sharing nearly 49 years together with Jeff. Also surviving are his daughters Jessica (Jason) Lozier and Molly (Collin) Rush all of New Bremen, as well as his five grandchildren who were the light of his life: Madi (Tanner Muhlenkamp) Lozier, Mara Lozier, Joel Lozier, Charlie Rush, and Sophie Rush, his brother Gary (Yvonne) Fyock of Galion, and his nephew Daniel Fyock. Along with his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by a daughter Emily A. Fyock.
Jeff was a member of the Faith Alliance Church in New Bremen where he was very active in the life of the church. As a true Berean, Jeff was an outgoing person who would do anything for anyone. He had served as the custodian of the church, a deacon, a trustee, participated in men’s Bible study, and even took two mission trips to Gabon, Africa. As a man of God, he didn’t know a stranger, which led to his enjoyment of witnessing his faith to anyone that would listen. Jeff had a servant’s heart and spent 32 years as a career firefighter on the Galion Fire Department where he reached the rank of Lieutenant. Jeff and Chris had been together since they were teenagers, and just loved spending time together. They enjoyed traveling to Amish country, Hilton Head, and Myrtle Beach. Jeff was the greatest Papa to his grandchildren. He loved spending time with each of them and was very active in their lives, never missing one of their events.
