Judy grew up in New Bremen, and was a 1969 graduate of New Bremen High School. After high school, she attended the Lima Beauty Academy and became a licensed cosmetologist. She was first a beautician at Doris’ Beauty Shop for several years before going to work at Marcie’s Beauty Shop in Minster. She then spent 12 years at The Hair House in New Bremen. Judy had previously been a member of St. Peter’s Church in New Bremen, where she served as the church’s organist for many years before she became a member of the Ansonia First Church of God. She enjoyed music and taught piano lessons, and she enjoyed her participation in the New Bremen American Legion Auxiliary. She loved to watch Hallmark Christmas movies and game shows on television, and in years past, she was an avid bowler; even serving as the bowling league secretary.
