ANDREA L. HITTEPOLE, age 57
of Troy, died on November 22, 2018 at 11:48 AM. at Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County in Troy. She was born on July 23, 1961 in Sandusky, Michigan the daughter of William & Geraldine (Rinn) Buiting, and they survive in Peck, MI. On January 16, 1993, she married Neal Hittepole, and he survives in Troy. Also surviving is a daughter Courtney Hittepole of Indianapolis, IN, a sister Suzanne (Doug) Shagena of Port Sanilac, MI, and a sister Teresa (Jeff) Shell of Rochester Hills, MI.
Andrea was a 1979 graduate of Peck High School and then went on to graduate from North Georgia College with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. She was an accountant working with the firm Kenter-Sellers CPA in Vandalia. Andrea and Neal enjoyed taking weekend trips as well as riding bikes, boating, and entertaining family and friends in their home. As a family, they enjoyed taking trips to Marco Island and Key West. Andrea was an avid reader, and liked to shop. She will be remembered as a loving wife, a proud mother, and a woman who always put other’s needs ahead of her own.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 12:30 P.M. at the St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen with the Rev. Becky Erb Strang officiating. Inurnment will take place in the Willow Grove Cemetery of New Bremen, at a later date. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 from 3:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen, and one hour prior to the services at the church on Wednesday. Memorial contributions in memory of Andrea can be made to the American Cancer Association or Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen, and condolences to the Hittepole family can be left online at www.gilberghartwigfh.com.
