ANDREA R. HUBER, age 46,
Of New Bremen, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Wednesday evening, January 5, 2022 in the emergency room of the Joint Twp. Dist. Memorial Hospital in St. Marys. She was born on October 25, 1975 in Lima, the only child of Thomas and Susan (Gossette) Rengers who survive in New Bremen. On November 25, 2000 she married Jerry J. Huber, and he survives in New Bremen along with her children Griffin Huber and Ava Huber.
Andrea was a 1994 graduate of New Bremen High School, and went on to graduate with her Associates degree in Early Childhood Education from Owens Community College in Toledo. Anyone who knew Andrea knew that she had a larger than life personality, which led her to never know a stranger. She was the kind of person who was always positive and uplifting, seeing the best in each person she met. She used her big smile and lovingly sassy personality to support, cheer on, and push everyone to always be their best, and treated everyone as an equal. She also always gave her best each day at everything she did; be it her job as a recruiter for Crown Equipment Corp. in New Bremen, volunteering for many events and activities as a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen, the Bremenfest Queen / Little Miss pageants, being a member of the TLC-OCCL, or being the emcee for the 301 club. What Andrea cherished most were her children, and she was thankful for her many friends. She loved to simply spend time with them at home around the pool, singing every song on the radio, and going shopping; and she adored her many trips taken with her family to Hilton Head.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 10:30 A.M. at the St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen with Rev. Becky Erb Strang officiating. The services will also be live-streamed on the church’s Facebook page (Link can be found below). Private family inurnment will take place in the German Protestant Cemetery of New Bremen at a later date. Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 from 2:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen, and again on Wednesday one hour prior to the services at the church.
