JOSEPH D. KETTLER age 71,
Of Wapakoneta and formerly of New Bremen, died on Monday, April 10, 2023 at 2:30 P.M. in Hospice Care at the Joint Twp. Dist. Mem. Hospital. He was born on May 27, 1951 in Celina, OH, the son of the late Donald B. and Mable L. (Oldiges) Kettler. Survivors include his siblings and in-laws; James Kettler of Flint, MI, Jay and Marilyn Kettler of Presque Isle, MI, Nancy and Robert Price of Grove City, PA, and Patricia and Daniel Duffy of Sugar Creek Twp., OH. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

Joe was a member of the Church of the Holy Redeemer in New Bremen. He participated in the Special Olympics for a number of years, specializing in bowling. Joe enjoyed camping, attending social gatherings and various other activities. He also took part in the Sharing and Caring group at St. Paul Church in New Bremen, the activities at the former Minster Kiwanis Sports Day, the ARC Summer Camp held near St. Marys and the Recreation Unlimited, Ashley, OH. Joe had first attended the Auglaize County School and later was employed at the Auglaize Industries. The family would like to acknowledge the staff at the CRSI Group Home in Wapakoneta for their loving care of Joe for the past several years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at the Church of the Holy Redeemer in New Bremen. Burial will follow in the Willow Grove Cemetery near New Bremen. The family will receive friends from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the services at the church on Saturday, April 22, 2023. Memorial contributions in memory of Joe can be made to the Auglaize Industries or to the ARC of Auglaize County.
