Of New Bremen, died unexpectedly after a brief illness on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at the Joint Twp. Dist. Memorial Hospital in St Marys. She was born on February 28, 1936 in Minster, the daughter of the late Julius E. and Clara E. (Bruns) Heitkamp. Surviving are her children Angela (Daniel) Linn of St. Henry, and Sharon (Bob) Brussell of New Bremen, six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and her brothers: Wilbert Heitkamp of Sidney, Ernest Heitkamp of Lebanon, Ohio, Walter Heitkamp of Minster, and Marvin Heitkamp of New Bremen. You have my sympathy in the loss of your mother. I worked with her at Crown and even was her “boss” for a while. I took her toilet papering one time at a friend’s house on 66 while they were on vacation. Apparently the following day she was driving by with her sister who didn’t approve but Norma did not tell she was one of the “decorators.” I also talked to her at the post office several times while she cleaned. May she rest in peace. Ginny (Broerman) Voress

Angie and Dan, so sorry for your loss. Norma was a wonderful lady and I loved giving her a hard time at the post office. I could always make her laugh. My prayers and thoughts to you and your family
