DeeVonn M. Stienecker, age 66,

Of rural New Knoxville, died suddenly on Monday, April 11, 2022 at 12:38 A.M. in the emergency room of Joint Twp. Dist. Memorial Hospital in St. Marys. She was born on September 20, 1955 in Piqua, Ohio, the daughter of the late Richard Scherer and Pamela Spaugy. On September 21, 1985, she married Ronald E. Stienecker, who survives near New Knoxville. Also surviving is her daughter Jennifer Bradburn of Columbus, her granddaughters Zoe Adam of Columbus, Izabella and Fritz Bradburn of Indiana, and a brother Richard Scherer of Conover.

DeeVonn had attended Piqua High School and later earned her GED. She then went on to graduate from Edison Community College, and became licensed as an LPN. She used this certification to care for others as a home healthcare nurse for many years. Later in life, she worked for NK Parts in their Honda division located in Sidney. Dee and Ron loved to spend time together attending and watching drag races, Nascar races, and motorcycle races. She was also known to have done some street racing back in her day. Dee enjoyed spending time at home tending to her flowers, and spending time with her family.

Family and friends can pay their respects on Saturday, April 16, 2022 from 1:00 until 3:00 P.M. at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen followed by a tribute to honor Dee’s life beginning at 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Joel Bucklin officiating.
