MARK J. SHELBY age 58 of rural New Knoxville, died on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 2:13 P.M. at his residence. He was born on November 10, 1959 in Celina, the son of the late James W. Shelby, and Betty L. (Wright) Shelby-Mears who survives in St. Marys. On March 21, 1980, he married Donna Ahlers, and she survives at the residence. Also surviving are their children Margaret (Scott) McMichael of Wapakoneta, Steven (Emily Dicke) Shelby of St. Marys, his siblings Pat (Sheila) Shelby of Columbus, Chris Shelby of Minster, Connie Miller of Geneva, IL, and his four-legged companions, Bruce and Clarence.
Mark was a 1978 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. He was a tool and die maker at Crown Equipment. Corp. for nearly 39 years, and also ran his own tool and die business for many years. He lived a simple life, and enjoyed collecting guns, working in his machine shop, and spending time with his family and his dogs.

He frequently came into Auglaize Industries to periodically fix our drilling machines or just to stop in and chit chat my nickname for him was mr. Sensitive because one day he was telling me a story and I teasing him and he says you know I’m a very sensitive guy that made me giggle he will be truly missed
