Robert W. Teague, age 68,
Of New Bremen, died suddenly on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at 5:39 PM at his residence. He was born on March 2, 1955 in Celina, the son of the late Hewil and Evelyn (Orick) Teague. On November 25, 1977 he married Kathie Kramer at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Minster, and she survives in New Bremen. Also surviving are his children: Kristina Morris, Jeffrey (Ashley) Teague, Lisa (Joe) McGovern all of New Bremen, and Rebecca (John) Malik of The Woodlands, Texas; and his eight grandchildren: Amare and Raiyah Morris, Amelia and Ezra Teague, Aidan, Connor, and William McGovern, and Sarah Malik. Also left to cherish his memory are his in-laws: Larry (Dian) Kramer of St. Marys, and Susan Kramer of New Bremen. Along with his parents, Rob was preceded in death by his siblings Merlyn Teague and Carolyn (Stephen) Lawson, his father and mother in-law Urban (Mary) Kramer, and a brother in-law Robert Kramer.
Robert was a 1973 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School, and also went on to earn his Marine Mechanic Certificate through Vanguard Vocational School. He had worked at Crown Equipment Corp. in New Bremen for many years as a machinist. He had always been a home-body and a man of many hobbies, especially after his retirement, spending countless hours tinkering around in his garage, and spending time on his patio. He also loved being outdoors – fishing, hunting, boating, camping and gardening, which led to his membership in the New Bremen Rod & Gun Club and the Western Ohio Fish & Game Assn. Robert adored his family; they center of his life which all else revolved around.
The family will hold private services at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen with Deacon Mr. Greg Bornhorst officiating. Inurnment will follow in the St. Augustine Cemetery in Minster. The family will also be holding a Celebration of Life on Sunday, July 23, 2023 from 1:00 until 5:00 PM at the Earl’s Island Pavilion at Lake Loramie State Park. Memorial contributions in memory of Rob can be made to the New Bremen Rod & Gun Club (4561 State Route 274, New Bremen, Ohio 45869).
