DOUGLAS J. FARK, age 61
of rural New Bremen, died unexpectedly on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at his residence. He was born on January 4, 1960 in St. Marys, the son of Howard H. Fark, who survives in New Bremen, and the late Sally A. (Abbott) Fark. In addition to his father, Doug is survived by his siblings: David (Sue) Fark of New Bremen, Debra (Darryl) Barhorst of Ada, and Diane (Martin) Fisher of Ada, his nieces and nephews, and his beloved dogs. He was preceded in death by his mother.
Doug was a 1978 graduate of New Bremen High School. He was a skilled machinist, working in several area shops over the years. He enjoyed hunting, and being in the outdoors. He spent much of his time caring for his property, and enjoyed just sitting with his dogs and watching the deer and other wildlife as they roamed around his many acres.
The family will hold private services at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen, and online condolences to the family can be left on the funeral home website at www.gilberghartwigfh.com.

August 15, 2021 at 9:36 pmDear Mr. Howard Fark, Dave and Diane. I’m so very sorry for your loss.. I had just heard of Doug’s passing today and wanted to let you know how deeply sorry I am to hear of his terrible news.
Doug and I grew up together and were very good friends. I hadn’t spoke to Doug in nearly forty years but I’ve always carried our good times together in my hart. As it turns out we share in a lot of the same interests. Sincerely Jack and Nora Dicke.
