J. BRIAN ROWLAND, age 76
Of New Bremen, died on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 10:30 P.M. at the Vancrest Healthcare Center in St. Marys. He was born on October 5, 1946 in Salem, Ohio, the son of the late Donn W. and Wanda L. (Munyon) Rowland. Surviving are his siblings Jeffrey (Debra) Rowland of Leetonia, Ohio, Dawn Kording, and Cynthia Rowland both of East Palestine, Ohio, along with a number of nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Brian was a 1964 graduate of East Palestine High School, and went on to graduate from Youngstown State University in 1969. A mechanical engineer by trade, he worked locally first for the former STAMCO of New Bremen, and later retired after working 19 years for The Minster Machine Co. Brian was an avid golfer for many years and was involved in running the STAMCO Thursday night golf league at the Elks Golf Course near Celina. He also enjoyed bowling and was involved in the Tree Commission in New Bremen. He was a member of the New Bremen Athletic Boosters and was a loyal fan of Cardinal football and basketball. He was a die-hard fan of the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, as well as the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Friends are welcome to join in a memorial gathering to celebrate Brian’s life which will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2022 from Noon until 2:00 PM at Speedway Lanes in New Bremen.
